SPOT AND STALK

After getting his first taste of South Dakota hunting last year with rifles, Bryce was excited to get back out there with his brother-in-law, Ben and try his luck with archery tackle in hand. Between scouting and hunting, it didn't take long for the guys to realize that it was a target rich environment. Seeing the deer is one thing, but getting them in a location for a successful stalk is where it becomes challenging. After a couple days of close calls, the guys were able to find a great buck in a spot that allowed for them to get in tight and Bryce made it count on his first ever mule deer, and a velvet beauty at that!
