BARN STRIKES AGAIN

After a relatively slow opening week in North Dakota, Ross and I made the decision to head home for a bit and wait for the next round of favorable weather. The forecast finally showed a good temp drop and wind switch so we headed back for another round. We anticipated south winds for the first couple days and then a few days of north wind with the big temp drop. With cell cams running at multiple locations, we really only had one spot that set up good for hunting south winds, and had good bucks consistently in the area. This spot just so happened to be the abandoned barn that I killed out of last year. The north winds got pushed back a day so we were facing south winds for 3 straight days. We agreed that if we could get out clean at dark each night, we would hunt the barn every time we got the south winds. On the 3rd night, it worked out! Just before dark, this buck along with another good buck did what we had been hoping for and he crashed 60 yards from the old barn!
