STICK BOW

It has always been on Mike's bucket list to kill a good buck with traditional archery equipment. This past year, he picked up a Hoyt Satori and the practice began. After many arrows, Mike was confident with the bow and ready to take it to the field. On day 2 of his North Dakota trip, a couple of does and fawns fed early in the evening. With light fading, Mike caught this buck working across a standing wheat field, headed right towards him. The buck worked perfectly to 12 steps. Waiting for the right moment, Mike drew back the Satori and let it fly. The arrow found its mark, the buck ran 80 yards into the field and down he went! What an accomplishment, Mike's first buck with the stick bow and a dandy to boot!
